Ripple Secures Key CASP License for Regulated Crypto Payments Across Europe
Ripple has obtained a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) license from Luxembourg's financial regulator, the CSSF, under Europe's MiCA legislation. This authorization enables Ripple to offer regulated crypto payment services across all 30 countries in the European Economic Area (EEA).
The CASP license simplifies the process for banks and other entities wishing to engage with Ripple Payments, as they no longer need to deal with fragmented national regulatory systems.
Ripple emphasizes that regulatory clarity is essential for building institutional trust and advancing crypto adoption. The company stated that clear regulations provide a crucial foundation for collaboration with traditional financial institutions.
