Ripple Seeks Withdrawal of XRPL Bridge Amendment Over Code Duplication Concerns
Ripple has recommended withdrawing the XChainBridge amendment from the XRP Ledger's validator voting process.
The company made this decision after discovering that Axelar, another interoperability solution, is already serving as a better option for connecting the XRPL mainnet with its Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible sidechain.
Ripple estimated that withdrawing the proposal would allow developers to remove more than 10,000 lines of inactive code from xrpld, the server software that powers the network.
