Ripple Sees Decline in Token Demand Amid Growing Adoption of On-Demand Liquidity
Ripple has seen a significant decrease in its need for tokens in recent times. According to various reports, this shift is largely due to the increasing adoption of on-demand liquidity (ODL) by financial institutions and market makers.
With ODL, these entities can access the XRP ledger without having to hold or buy large amounts of tokens upfront. This has led to a reduction in the demand for XRP, causing its price to fluctuate.
Ripple's co-founder, Brad Garlinghouse, has previously stated that the company is working towards reducing its reliance on token sales. By doing so, Ripple aims to focus more on its core business and less on generating revenue through token issuance.
