Ripple, SettleMint Join Forces to Streamline Tokenized Asset Management
Ripple has partnered with SettleMint to integrate its institutional custody infrastructure with SettleMint's Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform (DALP). This integration aims to provide a streamlined way for institutions to securely manage tokenized assets throughout their entire lifecycle.
The partnership targets the operational bottleneck that regulated firms face when managing digital assets. It's not just about securing assets, but also handling operational workflows, controls, and ongoing management in line with enterprise requirements.
Ripple's announcement comes on the heels of another Japan-linked institutional push, suggesting that custody and wallet infrastructure are being treated as foundational components rather than standalone offerings.
Meanwhile, Coincheck Group has partnered with DFNS to develop wallet technology and custody services for Japan. DFNS provides a wallet-as-a-service layer that supports institutions with transaction lifecycle management.
The regulatory shift in Japan, which classifies crypto assets as financial assets under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, increases the importance of controls and institutional-grade operating processes.
