Ripple Shifts Massive RLUSD Amount Between XRP Ledger and Ethereum
Ripple has been moving RLUSD, its stablecoin, between the XRP Ledger and Ethereum blockchain. According to onchain data, a total of 1,363,614.85 RLUSD was burned or sent to an irretrievable wallet on September 6. However, just a few seconds later, the same amount of RLUSD was minted on Ethereum.
This unusual cross-chain movement suggests that Ripple is rebalancing RLUSD supply between the two networks. The move could be intended to expand RLUSD liquidity across supported chains. It's worth noting that this action comes without increasing or decreasing the available supply of RLUSD on either blockchain, but rather repositioning it.
The $1.36 million worth of RLUSD moved from the XRP Ledger to Ethereum has been transferred to an external wallet. This could imply that Ripple is optimizing its stablecoin's liquidity across different chains.
