Ripple Takes Center Stage at Wyoming Blockchain Symposium
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse will speak at Wyoming's third annual Blockchain Symposium on August 17-20. The event, hosted by SALT and Kraken, is invitation-only and aims to bring together 500 investors, builders, and policymakers. Ripple is a sponsor of the symposium, which features a speaker roster that includes SEC Chair Paul Atkins and Wyoming Sen. Cynthia Lummis.
The main themes of the symposium include changes to U.S. and global crypto regulation, Bitcoin's role as a store of value, digital asset investment strategies, decentralized artificial intelligence, and the future structure of financial markets. Ripple has been actively involved in U.S. policy debates through Garlinghouse and Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty.
Ripple also has ties with the University of Wyoming, one of the event's academic partners, having funded the establishment of the Ripple Blockchain Collaboratory at the university in 2022. The company also supports blockchain, cryptocurrency, and cybersecurity research across the university's business, engineering, and law programs.
