Ripple Targets $13 Trillion Treasury Customer Base to Expand RLUSD Use
Ripple is targeting a corporate treasury customer base that handles approximately $13 trillion in transactions per year to expand its use of RLUSD dollar stablecoin.
Jack McDonald, Senior Vice President of Stablecoins at Ripple, said one of the biggest opportunities comes from Ripple Treasury, which has around 1,200 customers that move funds for cross-border needs, inter-company transactions, and domestic transactions.
Ripple acquired GTreasury for $1 billion in 2025 and integrated its software with payment and digital asset networks. The company now sees this network as a pathway to bring more traditional treasury activities onto blockchain-based infrastructure.
The supply of RLUSD has increased, reaching around $2.4 billion, but Ripple focuses on the use of the stablecoin rather than its market capitalization. McDonald said daily activity for RLUSD has more than tripled since early 2026, reaching about $750 million per day last month.
