Ripple Transfers $50M XRP to Binance Amid Price Pressure
Ripple's recent move has sparked speculation within the XRP community as it transferred $50 million worth of coins to Binance, a major crypto exchange. The transfer, flagged by Whale Alert, consisted of 50 million XRP moving from Ripple's wallet to its subwallet raRVLN1, indicating an internal transaction. However, further analysis revealed that this subwallet distributed some coins to rBNCyN wallet address associated with Binance.
The same wallet has sent a total of 23 million XRP to rBNCyN this week, with 11 million being transferred directly to Binance. On-chain data suggests that this is likely an operational liquidity wallet used for on-demand liquidity (ODL) or market making purposes.
XRP price has been under selling pressure, dropping over 7% in the past week but holding above $1. The recent transfer has sparked concerns about potential further pullbacks or rallies, with some analysts citing the importance of watching derivatives markets for buying activity. As of now, total XRP futures open interest has climbed over 0.75% to $2.72 billion.
