Ripple Transforms into Full-Stack Institutional Finance Platform
Ripple, once known primarily for its cross-border payments platform, has expanded its offerings to become a full-stack institutional finance platform.
Speaking with Grayscale Research, Ripple's SVP Jack McDonald explained that the company has moved beyond its origins as a simple payments provider and now offers custody, stablecoins, treasury management, and institutional trading services under one roof.
Ripple aims to simplify operations for institutions by consolidating multiple providers into a single platform. According to McDonald, this strategy addresses a common hurdle in institutional crypto adoption: operational complexity.
The company's institutional focus is evident in its partnerships with financial institutions and infrastructure providers, as well as its investments through the University Blockchain Research Initiative, which includes more than 60 academic partners worldwide.
