Ripple Unleashes Massive RLUSD Minting Spree on XRPL

Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin has seen an immense surge in minting activity over the past few days, with tens of millions of tokens issued across both the XRP Ledger and Ethereum. According to data from the Ripple Stablecoin Tracker account on X, a staggering 11 million RLUSD was minted at the RLUSD Treasury within the last two hours on August 31.

This latest activity follows a series of large RLUSD treasury operations over the past several days, highlighting the pace at which Ripple has been adjusting the stablecoin's supply across its principal networks. On August 29, the tracker reported the minting of 15 million RLUSD at the treasury, and just a day earlier, 20 million RLUSD was minted on Ethereum.

RLUSD's circulating supply on the XRP Ledger has exceeded $1 billion, with total supply currently placed at roughly $2.35 billion. The stablecoin's liquidity is closely tied to payments, decentralized exchanges, lending, and other financial activities, making its growth significant for the XRP Ledger.
