Ripple Unlocks 1 Billion XRP in September Escrow Release

Ripple's September escrow release has unlocked 1 billion XRP across three separate on-chain transactions, trimming the company's remaining locked holdings to approximately 31.28 billion tokens.

The transfers were split into 500 million, 400 million, and 100 million XRP, emptying escrow objects that had reached their programmed maturity dates on the XRP Ledger.

This routine monthly escrow release is part of Ripple's mechanism since December 2017, where up to 1 billion XRP becomes available at the start of each month.
