Ripple Unveils Ambitious Upgrade Plan for XRP Network
Ripple is set to undergo a major technological upgrade to its xrpld network, with the official release of the new features scheduled for next week. The upgrade package includes five fundamental amendments that aim to remove technical and legal barriers that have prevented traditional financial giants from entering public blockchains. According to Jazzi Cooper, Ripple's Head of Product, the XRPL network has already proven its ability to scale digital assets and is now entering a phase of real-world global adoption.
The upgrade will enable secure institutional delivery-versus-payment settlements (DvP) by allowing banks to separate employee permissions and protect commercially sensitive information. This will also make blockchain technology less complicated for end users, as the fee-sponsorship option will allow major institutions to pay network fees on behalf of their clients.
The upgrade package includes Confidential MPT, BatchPermission Delegation, Sponsored Fees and Reserves, Dynamic MPT, and Complete technical specifications. The Ripple team has already published detailed documentation on its open-source platform, and will release a series of in-depth technical analyses and security reports to support seamless code integration.
