Ripple Unveils Comprehensive Financial Infrastructure Platform
Ripple, a payments firm, has expanded its services to become a comprehensive financial infrastructure platform. The company's core platform now offers custody, payments, stablecoins, treasury management, and prime brokerage services under one roof.
The expansion is the result of a $2.45 billion acquisition spree in 2025, which included the purchase of Hidden Road for $1.25 billion and GTreasury for approximately $1 billion. These deals have enabled Ripple to handle custody for over 1 million wallets, provide 90% global forex coverage, and integrate its RLUSD stablecoin.
Ripple's President, Monica Long, said the company has built 'the blueprint for blockchain-based enterprise solutions designed to operate at global scale for regulated finance.' The platform now has multiple regulatory licenses, including broker-dealer and money transmitter authorizations, which is crucial for attracting institutional clients.
