Ripple Unveils Ripple Mint for Institutional Access to RLUSD
Ripple has launched Ripple Mint, a platform that allows institutions to access and manage its US dollar-pegged stablecoin, RLUSD. The company described it as a unified web interface or API integrations for manual operations and automated workflows.
The platform is designed to support the growing adoption of stablecoins in payments, trading, and treasury activities. RLUSD has gained traction among both institutional and retail users since its launch in December 2024.
Ripple Mint aims to provide flexible access to digital dollars through a variety of workflows. RLUSD's market capitalization briefly rose from about $1.54 billion to $1.64 billion around the Ripple Mint launch, before settling near $1.59 billion. At the time of publication, RLUSD ranked as the ninth-largest USD-pegged stablecoin by market capitalization.
