Ripple Unveils Upgrade Plan for Institutional Payments on XRP Ledger
Ripple is set to release an upgrade for its XRP Ledger (XRPL) next week, marking a significant milestone in its evolution. The xrpld 3.3.0 upgrade will consolidate five core amendments into a single package, driving the XRPL ecosystem towards global adoption.
The key features of this upgrade include user experience improvements and real-world asset integration. Ripple has outlined plans to release additional technical analyses and security reports in the coming weeks to assist node operators and developers with seamless code integration.
Among the most significant changes introduced is support for secure institutional delivery-versus-payment (DvP) settlements, which will enable up to eight transactions to be executed atomically. This ensures that all transactions are processed together or none at all, enhancing reliability and compliance for institutional transactions.
