Ripple Urges Senators to Hear from Crypto Holders Ahead of Crucial Vote

Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty is urging undecided and opposing senators to hear from estimated 67 million American crypto holders before the CLARITY Act faces a crucial vote on September 15.

Alderoty has contacted Senate offices, asking lawmakers to speak directly with crypto holders. He argued that senators should listen to individual holders rather than rely solely on lobbyists, industry executives, and trade groups.

The CLARITY Act, which would create a federal market structure for digital assets, needs 60 votes to open debate in the Senate. Republicans hold 53 seats, leaving at least seven Democrats or independents needed to cross the threshold.
