Ripple Valuation Surges Past Coinbase's as XRP Fails to Keep Pace
Ripple has become one of the most successful blockchain companies since its launch in 2012, with a valuation of $50 billion following an employee share buyback in March 2026.
This is larger than Coinbase's market cap at the time of writing (September 11). Ripple is a private company, but this gives an idea of how well it has done and why there's interest in buying its stock.
XRP, the cryptocurrency tied to Ripple, hasn't shared in the company's success. It's valued at $85 billion, making it one of the five largest cryptocurrencies by market cap.
