Ripple XRP Surges as Institutional Adoption Accelerates
Ripple's influence in institutional finance continues to grow as XRP is increasingly used as collateral for institutional credit lines. This development is facilitated by the XLS-65/66 lending protocol now live on the XRP Ledger, which allows Ripple Prime to accept XRP alongside other assets like Bitcoin and gold.
Charles Schwab's September 8 SEC filing revealed that XRP ETFs are being used as repo collateral, with usage reportedly growing rapidly. This trend indicates deepening institutional trust in XRP, just a year after Ripple's SEC litigation concluded.
Ripple has also been named among 54 firms partnering with the UK's Wholesale Digital Markets Champion to help scale tokenization adoption and establish clearer regulatory frameworks. The company has a history of collaborating with European regulators, including a proof-of-concept with the Bank of England in 2017.
