Ripple's Alderoty: Clarity Act Vote Boosts U.S. Jobs, Economic Growth
Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty has urged US lawmakers to support the Clarity Act, a proposed crypto regulatory bill. He argues that a vote in favor of the bill would not only provide clarity for the digital asset industry but also boost job creation and economic growth.
The Clarity Act aims to define which digital assets are securities and which are commodities, providing much-needed regulatory certainty for crypto companies operating in the US. This has been a focal point for industry advocates who argue that the current lack of clarity has driven innovation and jobs overseas.
According to the nonprofit crypto education and research group NCA, the U.S. crypto sector supports approximately 232,000 jobs, generating $55 billion in economic value for the US economy and contributing a $31 billion increase in worker income.
