Ripple's Ambitious Expansion into Full-Stack Financial Infrastructure
Ripple has expanded its services beyond cross-border payments to become a full-stack financial infrastructure provider. The company's core platform now offers custody, payments, stablecoins, treasury management, and prime brokerage services under one roof.
This move follows Ripple's acquisition spree in 2025, which totaled $2.45 billion. Two notable deals include the acquisition of Hidden Road for $1.25 billion, adding prime brokerage capabilities, and GTreasury for approximately $1 billion, bringing institutional-grade treasury management tools into the fold.
The expanded platform now handles custody for over 1 million wallets, provides 90% global forex coverage, and integrates RLUSD, Ripple's USD-backed stablecoin launched in December 2024. By March 2026, the platform had processed more than $100 billion in total transaction volume.
Ripple President Monica Long stated that 'We've built the blueprint for blockchain-based enterprise solutions designed to operate at global scale for regulated finance.'
