Ripple's CTO Regrets Early Sales, Sees XRP Potential
David Schwartz, former Chief Technology Officer at Ripple and one of XRP's most recognizable figures, has shared his regrets about selling XRP at approximately $0.10 and Ethereum at around $1 before both assets experienced substantial price appreciation.
In a recent discussion on the social media platform X, Schwartz explained that if he had genuinely believed Ethereum had even a 1% chance of reaching $2,000, he would not have sold it for $1.
However, he added that he was not convinced those odds existed at the time and has since reduced most of his direct cryptocurrency exposure in favor of lower-risk investments.
Crypto X AiMan, a crypto commentator, highlighted Schwartz's reflections as a reminder that even industry veterans have found it difficult to judge how far digital assets could ultimately climb.
He suggests that Schwartz's experience offers valuable perspective for investors weighing whether to secure profits or remain invested for the long term.
