Ripple's former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) emeritus David Schwartz has reassured the XRP community of his ongoing involvement with the cryptocurrency, despite stepping down from his day-to-day responsibilities at Ripple.

Schwartz made this clear in a recent response to an X user, stating that he had 'fun spending a few hours working like I used to' and participating in a Zoom call with the Ripple team.

This announcement comes after Schwartz set up his own XRP Ledger node in September 2025, focusing on publishing output data and exploring additional use cases for the cryptocurrency.

The XRP Ledger has also recently undergone an upgrade to version 3.2.1, which addressed a 'manifest flood' bug that allowed nodes to accept and rebroadcast unlimited manifests from unknown validator keys.
