Ripple's Gators Deal Sparks XRP Price Bounce Speculation
Ripple has secured a multi-year partnership with University of Florida Athletics to promote its XRP token. The deal, reportedly worth $5 million per year, involves placing the XRP logo at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida, and on the Gators' website and social media.
The agreement does not involve buying, holding, or paying in XRP, but rather a branding play to increase awareness of the token. Ripple will also fund financial and technology education for student-athletes and the wider campus.
The partnership comes as XRP trades near $1.41, up roughly 35% over the past month. Technical analysts point to a chart pattern that preceded a 650% rally in 2024, suggesting a possible roadmap with targets at $1.30, $1.90, and $3.40.
However, not all analysts agree, describing XRP as still inside a corrective pullback within a $1.10, $1.38 support zone. Spot trading volume for XRP hit a six-month high in August 2026, with Binance recording over $7.26 billion.
