Ripple's Growth Fails to Lift XRP Price Amid Market Uncertainty

Ripple's growth has not translated into higher XRP prices, despite the company strengthening its ecosystem and banks adopting its technology. The native token XRP remains nearly 72% below its 2025 peak.

The reason behind this disparity lies in how Ripple's network works. Banks use the XRP Ledger to settle transactions almost instantly, which means they don't need to hold large amounts of XRP for long periods. Additionally, Ripple releases millions of XRP from escrow every month, increasing the available supply.

The spot XRP ETFs have attracted about $1.49 billion in total inflows, but ETF holdings still account for only 1% to 2% of XRP's circulating supply, limiting their impact on price. The selling pressure continues to outweigh demand, with many small investors selling their XRP after months of little price movement.

According to analyst Chartnerd, XRP has taken an average of about 1,410 days to reach each new cycle high. Based on this historical data and technical charts, it's possible that XRP may remain stuck in a sideways range until 2028.
