Ripple's NYU Abu Dhabi Partnership Expands Blockchain Research Beyond XRP

Ripple's partnership with NYU Abu Dhabi is expanding its blockchain research and education initiatives through 2027. The collaboration began in 2021 as part of Ripple's University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), which provided funding exceeding $1 million.

The partnership has led to the development of various blockchain projects, hands-on courses, and applications, including the Volta Initiative. Students and researchers have been introduced to the XRP Ledger through these initiatives.

While the collaboration has made a significant impact in academic research and education, its broader impact on the XRP Ledger remains limited. Despite growing research and developer activity, XRP adoption continues to be a concern for the sector.
