Ripple's RLUSD Hits Record $2.44B Amid Institutional Push
Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin has reached an all-time high of $2.44 billion in circulation, according to data aggregators.
This surge comes as Ripple expands its role in institutional payments, treasury services, and capital markets, with a customer base handling approximately $13 trillion in annual transactions, according to Jack McDonald, Ripple Stablecoin Chief.
RLUSD's supply has increased by 41% over the past 30 days, reaching a new record high of $2.442 billion on September 14. This growth comes before the Senate's scheduled vote on the CLARITY Act on September 15.
Ethereum now holds more RLUSD than the XRP Ledger, with approximately $1.37 billion in circulation compared to $1.05 billion on the XRP Ledger. Ripple continues to add networks and institutional products as it expands its role in the market.
