Ripple's RLUSD Stablecoin Surpasses 1.7B Supply Mark Amid Institutional Milestones
Ripple has added another layer to its RLUSD stablecoin by minting 10 million units on the XRP Ledger. This move brings RLUSD's circulating supply past 1.7 billion tokens and coincides with a fresh wave of institutional and regulatory milestones.
The transaction was processed and confirmed on August 17, 2026, using a two-signer multisignature setup that recorded a maximum delivery amount of 10 million RLUSD. The network fee for the entire operation came to just 0.000405 XRP, underscoring how inexpensive it remains to move large sums on the XRP Ledger.
The fresh issuance brought RLUSD's total circulating supply to 1.711 billion tokens, according to CoinGecko figures, with a market capitalization reaching $1.71 billion. This scale matters: it places RLUSD firmly among the more established dollar-pegged tokens tracked across major crypto data platforms.
Ripple has been methodically building out RLUSD as serious payments infrastructure rather than a side project. The company partnered with Notabene in July to integrate RLUSD into the Notabene Flow platform, enhancing compliance and institutional payments infrastructure.
