Ripple's Stablecoin RLUSD Hits $2B Market Cap, Eyes Tokenized Finance Role
Ripple's dollar-pegged stablecoin RLUSD has reached a market capitalization of over $2 billion, with more than $1 billion of that supply issued on the XRP Ledger.
This milestone was announced by Jack McDonald, Ripple's senior vice president responsible for stablecoins, in a post on X.
The XRP Ledger network has seen rising usage in recent months, providing context for why issuance concentrated on the ledger is becoming a notable metric for Ripple.
Ripple aims to position RLUSD as the dollar leg of tokenized-asset trading, with XRP supporting other network activity rather than serving as the settlement currency itself.
