Ripple's Stablecoin Sees Rapid Redemptions, Liquidity Imbalance

Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin saw significant activity on the XRP Ledger in June, with $449.3 million minted over a period of 30 days.

However, an astonishing 99% of these tokens were burned due to rapid redemptions by institutional clients, resulting in minimal net supply growth.

This high burn rate highlights the liquidity imbalance on the XRP Ledger compared to Ethereum, where $403 million was minted and only $177.3 million burned, leading to net inflows of over $225 million.
