Ripple's Stablecoin Surges to Third-Fastest Growth in 2026
Ripple's stablecoin, RLUSD, has made significant strides in 2026, becoming the third-fastest-growing stablecoin on the market. According to data from RWA.xyz, RLUSD has added over $1 billion to its market cap this year alone, a testament to Ripple's efforts to ramp up minting of the stablecoin across the Ethereum and XRP Ledger networks.
This growth puts RLUSD behind only Tether's USDT and Anchorage's USDGO in terms of speed. While USDT remains the largest stablecoin with a valuation of $6.7 billion, adding $1.4 billion to its market cap this year, RLUSD has made significant strides in its own right.
In August, RLUSD hit the $2 billion milestone and has since added an additional $380 million to its market cap, bringing it to a total of $2.38 billion at the time of writing. On-chain data suggests that Ripple has burned $98.2 million worth of RLUSD in the last 7 days while minting just $73.9 million.
