Ripple's Supply Management Strategy Temporarily Supports XRP Price
Ripple's deliberate supply management strategy has provided temporary support for XRP's price, keeping it near $1.08 and within its historical average return range.
The company released one billion XRP from escrow on August 1, but re-locked 700 million tokens into new trust accounts, leaving a net float increase of just 300 million XRP.
This maneuver has helped create a support zone between $1.048 and $1.060, a notable achievement given that August is historically XRP's cruelest month.
XRP remains down 42.4 percent year-to-date, but the current stabilization reads more like a catching of breath than a reversal of fortune.
