Ripple's XRP Expected to Plummet to $0.60 by 2030, Analyst Says
XRP's price is expected to be $0.60 by 2030, according to a prediction made by an analyst at The Motley Fool.
The analyst argues that XRP's price has been driven more by speculation than actual demand from banks adopting Ripple's technology for cross-border payments.
XRP acts as a bridge asset in these transactions, converting dollars into euros on one end and vice versa. However, the analyst notes that this creates no net demand, as XRP is bought and sold nearly instantaneously in equal amounts.
Ripple's own stablecoin, RLUSD, can also be used for cross-border transactions and offers stability, which banks prefer over XRP's volatility.
