Ripple's XRP Lands in College Sports with University of Florida Partnership
Ripple has secured another significant partnership for its XRP token in the college sports world. The latest deal is with the University of Florida, which will feature the XRP logo prominently on Ben Hill Griffin Stadium's field starting from the 2026 football season.
The multi-year agreement between Ripple and the University of Florida extends beyond branding, including digital properties, event signage, and a commitment to financial and technology education for student-athletes and the campus community. This will cover both traditional finance and digital assets, such as XRP.
University of Florida Director of Athletics Scott Stricklin spoke about the significance of the partnership, stating that Ripple has 'established itself as an innovative leader in financial technology.'
This is not Ripple's first major college sports partnership; earlier this year, it partnered with Kansas Athletics, which featured XRP on Jayhawks jerseys. However, this deal takes a different approach by placing the XRP logo on the field and across digital properties.
