Ripple's XRP Token Hits One Million AI Transactions, But Price Takes a Hit
Ripple's native token XRP has reached one million AI-powered agentic transactions on its ledger, according to RippleX. This milestone comes despite a broader market downturn caused by geopolitical tensions and investor uncertainty.
XRP is currently trading at $1.11, down 2% in the last 24 hours after reaching a weekly high of $1.16 earlier this week. Optimism surrounding the US Clarity Act and easing inflation data had previously boosted the token's price.
RippleX's head of engineering, Ayo Akinyele, believes adoption will accelerate rapidly, with the network potentially processing 10 million AI-driven transactions in the near future. He added that the total could eventually surpass 100 million transactions within a few years as artificial intelligence infrastructure continues to mature.
XRP remains below several key resistance levels, including its exponential moving averages of $1.15 and $1.23. However, technical indicators suggest moderate buying momentum without entering overbought territory, indicating a cautiously optimistic picture.
