RippleX Debunks Fake 'XRP Rewards Scanner' Scam on Social Media

RippleX and the XRP Ledger Foundation (XRPLF) have warned against a fake 'XRP Rewards Scanner' scam on social media platform X. The scam, which has been circulating since August 6, promises users they can recover unclaimed XRP by connecting their wallet.

The actual danger lies in the transaction-approval step that follows the wallet scan, where scammers request permission to move funds out of the wallet. RippleX confirmed directly on August 6 that no such tool exists and that circulating screenshots are fabricated.

RippleX and XRPLF have issued warnings against the scam, emphasizing that neither organization will contact users directly by DM. They also warned about phishing attempts and fake giveaway posts becoming more common across X.
