RippleX Sees Potential for XRP to Back Corporate Loans
RippleX, a subsidiary of Ripple, has announced that its XRP token could be used as collateral for corporate loans. According to the announcement, companies can access liquidity in RLUSD (Ripple's US dollar-pegged stablecoin) using their existing XRP holdings.
The XRPL credit infrastructure is still under development and has not yet received mainnet approval. The current protocol does not provide automatic collateral liquidation on the blockchain.
RippleX's announcement marks an exciting development for the use of XRP in corporate finance, but more details are needed to determine its feasibility and impact.
