River Sees Bitcoin Price Soaring to $250k-$840k Within 3-5 Years
River, a financial company focused on Bitcoin, has made two major bullish predictions for the price of BTC.
The company analyzed data and found that if institutional interest in Bitcoin continues to grow and trillions of dollars are transferred from traditional investment portfolios to BTC, the price could reach between $250,000 and $840,000 within 3-5 years.
River notes that current adoption rates for Bitcoin are low, with only about 4% of the world's population owning it. Institutional investors also allocate very little to Bitcoin, with investment advisors allocating just 0.008% of their total assets to BTC.
The company's forecast is based on increased corporate adoption and capital coming from Wall Street. If 20-40% of global investment portfolios were invested in Bitcoin, with an average allocation of 2-4%, River estimates a net capital inflow into BTC of between $1.3 trillion and $5.3 trillion.
River hypothesizes that every $1 of net capital inflow into BTC could generate approximately a $3 increase in market value. This would push Bitcoin's total market capitalization to around $5.5 trillion to $17.5 trillion, resulting in prices between $250,000 and $840,000.
