River Sees BTC Skyrocketing to $250K-$840K Within 3-5 Years
River, a Bitcoin-focused financial company, has released an analysis predicting that BTC could reach a price between $250,000 and $840,000 within three to five years. This scenario is based on increasing institutional interest in Bitcoin and the transfer of trillions of dollars from traditional investment portfolios to Bitcoin.
River notes that only about 4% of the world's population owns Bitcoin, but institutional investors' portfolio allocation to Bitcoin remains low at approximately 0.008%. The company emphasizes that its forecast is based on increased corporate adoption and capital coming from Wall Street.
The analysts calculated a potential net capital inflow into Bitcoin ranging from $1.3 trillion to $5.3 trillion, which could push Bitcoin's total market capitalization to approximately $5.5 trillion to $17.5 trillion. Based on historical data, every dollar of net capital inflow could generate approximately a three-dollar increase in market value.
River stresses that the real determining factor for Bitcoin's next major price movement will be the extent to which investors in traditional finance include Bitcoin in their portfolios.
