RLUSD Sees Explosive Growth as Ripple SVP Takes Stage in Brooklyn
Ripple's Senior Vice President of Stablecoins, Jack McDonald, will be speaking at the Real World Asset Summit in Brooklyn from September 1 to 2. The event brings together notable speakers including Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire and Ethereum cofounder Joseph Lubin.
McDonald will participate in a panel discussion on 'Going Global' alongside Emily Parker of the Global Blockchain Business Council, Subhankar Sinha of STOKR, and Austin Campbell of Zero Knowledge Group as moderator. The Ripple SVP hinted at what he will be discussing: the growing global adoption of stablecoins.
RLUSD, Ripple's stablecoin, has been making significant strides. In August, it crossed $2 billion for the first time in less than two years since its launch. McDonald highlighted that this milestone came from over $1 billion issued on the XRP Ledger alone. RLUSD is serving as the regulated cash leg for transactions involving tokenized assets.
