$RLUSD Sees Surge in Activity as Ripple Accelerates Stablecoin Adoption
Ripple has been busy in recent hours, minting 15 million $RLUSD on the Ethereum blockchain and burning another 15 million on the XRP Ledger. According to the Ripple Stablecoin Tracker website, the circulating supply of $RLUSD on Ethereum has increased above $712 million, with a total of 36.5 million minted in the last seven days and $25.3 million burned.
In related news, $RLUSD received major listings this week, with Upbit announcing support for the stablecoin on July 28 and Bithumb following suit on July 29. Upbit supports deposits and withdrawals of $RLUSD on the XRP Ledger with KRW/BTC/USDT trading pairs, while Bithumb only allows deposits and withdrawals on the XRP Ledger with KRW pairs.
Ripple also announced a collaboration with Notabene, which facilitates over $2 trillion in annualized transaction volume. The partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of compliant stablecoin payments and create a pathway for $RLUSD integration across one of the world's largest institutional payment networks for digital assets.
