RLUSD Surpasses $2 Billion Market Cap

Ripple's stablecoin RLUSD has surpassed $2 billion in market capitalization, according to an official announcement by Ripple on August 25. The stablecoin was issued at a value close to $1 billion on the XRP Ledger.

RLUSD is a dollar-backed stablecoin designed for real-world utility and enterprise use cases. It was launched live in December 2024 and is available on multiple chains, including XRP Ledger and Ethereum. The stablecoin also utilizes Wormhole's Native Token Transfers (NTT) standard to facilitate multi-chain expansion.

At the time of writing, RLUSD had a market capitalization of approximately $21.1 billion, according to CoinGecko. Ripple's official Twitter account stated that RLUSD is 'just getting started.'
