RLUSD Surpasses $2 Billion Market Cap Less Than Two Years After Launch
Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin has reached a significant milestone, crossing $2 billion in market capitalization. This achievement comes less than two years after its launch in December 2024.
The majority of the RLUSD supply is issued on XRP Ledger, with approximately $963 million out of the total circulating supply of about $1.87 billion being held on this network. Ethereum holds a slightly larger share of the total RLUSD supply, with around $1.05 billion in circulation.
Ripple's Standard Custody & Trust Company issues RLUSD under a limited-purpose trust charter supervised by the New York State Department of Financial Services. The company maintains segregated reserve accounts for every token, backed by cash or permitted cash equivalents such as short-term U.S. Treasury bills and government money market funds.
