RM2.95 Million Worth of Seized Items Disposed of in Malaysia
The Manjung Police headquarters in Malaysia disposed of seized items worth RM2.95 million (approximately USD 700,000) as part of ongoing investigations into various crimes.
The items were confiscated in cases involving gambling, Bitcoin mining, and the smuggling of cigarettes and liquor between 2019 and this year.
The highest value among the seized items was RM1.575 million (approximately USD 375,000) worth of cigarettes and liquor, followed by Bitcoin mining equipment valued at RM1.275 million (approximately USD 300,000), and gambling-related items worth RM99,538 (approximately USD 24,000).
The disposal of the seized items was done in accordance with prescribed procedures and SOPs, with some items being disposed of through e-waste management and others being destroyed using an excavator.
