Robinhood Adds Juggernaut and Frong to Searchable Assets
Robinhood has added The Juggernaut (JUGGERNAUT) and Frong (FRONG) to its searchable asset pages, leading to a sharp rally in both meme coins. This move triggered a surge in trading activity, with JUGGERNAUT prices jumping more than 500% at its peak before trimming its gain to around 380%. The token's 24-hour trading volume soared by over 3,000%, signaling a significant increase in speculative activity. FRONG also saw a rally of nearly 130% before easing to an approximately 100% gain, with its price reaching a new all-time high of $0.0164.
According to on-chain trackers, the additions were made alongside other tokens by Robinhood Assets. However, it's essential to note that these coins are not available for spot trading on Robinhood Crypto but can be searched and monitored through the platform. Farokh Sarmad, co-founder of Myriad Markets, highlighted this distinction, stating that Robinhood had essentially created searchable asset pages rather than full trading listings.
The surge in JUGGERNAUT's price is particularly notable, with the token trading between $0.0022 and $0.0208 over 24 hours. Meanwhile, FRONG's trading volume increased by more than 1,300%, indicating a significant increase in interest from traders. The addition of these tokens to Robinhood's searchable asset pages has contributed to the growing demand for the Layer 2 network, with tokenized assets on Robinhood Chain now valued at approximately $166.5 million.
