Robinhood Breaks Revenue Records as Prediction Markets Soar
Rothman & Co has released financial results for Q2 2026. The company posted record revenues of $1.31 billion, up 32% year-over-year. This beats Wall Street's estimate of $1.26 billion.
The largest contributor to revenue was transaction-based earnings, which rose 44% to $776 million. However, the growth came from new product lines, particularly event contracts, also known as prediction markets, where users bet on real-world outcomes. Event contracts generated $156 million, up more than 10x year-over-year.
Crypto revenue fell 38% year-over-year to $100 million, while total crypto notional trading volume was $40 billion for the quarter. Despite this decline, Robinhood is focusing on its own chain, Robinhood Chain. The company launched the public mainnet in July and is expanding into tokenized stocks, decentralized lending, and plans for new international crypto offerings.
