Robinhood CEO's X Account Hacked, Memecoin Posts Removed

Robinhood CEO Vladimir Tenev confirmed that his X account was hacked on July 24. The hacker used social engineering tactics to deceive the platform's customer support team, gaining access to Tenev's account.

The compromised account published posts promoting a memecoin linked to the Robinhood Chain, which triggered noticeable price swings in related tokens before being taken down.

Tenev emphasized that the posts were entirely fabricated and did not reflect his views or any official company announcements.

After being alerted to the suspicious activity, Tenev worked directly with X's security team to remove the fraudulent posts and restore access to his account. He confirmed that no other accounts or company systems were affected.
