Robinhood CEO's X Account Hacked to Promote Fake Memecoin
Rapid growth on Robinhood Chain has brought increased security risks to its users. The platform's CEO, Vlad Tenev, had his X account compromised by hackers who used it to promote a fake memecoin called $VLAD.
The post claimed that $VLAD would soon be listed on the Robinhood app and included a blockchain wallet address. It also stated that 'Robinhood loves memes,' in an attempt to convince users of its legitimacy.
Rapidly expanding user adoption has made Robinhood Chain a magnet for speculative trading, with numerous new memecoins launching to capitalize on the network's growing ecosystem.
