Robinhood Chain Goes Leveraged with Arcus' pTokens
Robinhood Chain has welcomed Arcus' pTokens, turning perpetual futures contracts into tradable ERC-20 tokens. Developed by dYdX Labs and Robinhood Crypto, Arcus has launched two initial products: pBTC3x and pHOOD3x, offering triple-leveraged exposure to Bitcoin and Robinhood stock.
These tokens represent proportional ownership in a dedicated perpetuals trading account with predetermined market exposure and leverage ratios. Users can trade them like standard spot assets without the need for direct margin or collateral management.
The protocol enables tokenized equities to serve as collateral for leveraged trading positions, allowing users to maintain their original holdings while accessing leverage.
Arcus CEO Eddie Zhang explained that pTokens aim to integrate strategies similar to leveraged ETFs into blockchain technology, transforming managed perpetual accounts into transferable digital assets.
