Robinhood Chain Halted for 14 Minutes, Stalling Transactions
Robinhood Chain halted block production for over 14 minutes on Friday, causing transactions to stall during U.S. trading hours.
The network stopped producing blocks at around 12:57 p.m. UTC and remained down until around 1:11 p.m. UTC, affecting token transfers and smart contract transactions.
Despite the outage, users continued submitting transactions, but they were not confirmed by the network until block production resumed.
The halt comes as blockchain-based equities gain traction, with data showing that the number of tokenized-stock holders reached about 2.60 million in August, up sharply from roughly 1 million previously.
RWAX.xyz data showed that Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, and Solana accounted for about 95% of tokenized-stock holders, highlighting the growing activity around blockchain-based equities.
