Robinhood Chain Memecoins Overtake RWA as Launchpad Wars Erupt
The Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 built on Arbitrum technology, launched on July 1, 2026, and has quickly gained popularity for its retail-friendly trading platform. Initially positioned as a major player in RWA (regulated yield asset) activity, the chain surprised everyone by becoming a hub for memecoins, with CASHCAT soaring past $200M in market capitalization in just over a week.
Memecoins now dominate daily activity on the Robinhood Chain, accounting for 79.2% of DEX volume as of July 27, while RWA and other trading make up 9.69% and 11.1% respectively. However, RWA has been quietly booming, with its share of daily volume increasing from 0.39% in the first week to 8.58% in the most recent week, a 22-fold increase.
The chain's launchpad activity is also noteworthy, with Noxa initially capturing 65.8% of all tokens launched during its active window but collapsing after just a week due to bot spam and copycat tokens overwhelming its infrastructure. Pons.family stepped in to fill the void, becoming the single largest launchpad on the chain by both token count and trading volume.
